DIE2NITE + TWINOID: THE OFFICIAL GUIDE
We've been talking about it for some time now, but the time has come to give you some more details!
Twinoid joining Die2Nite will bring a horde of new tools and features to your mortal existence. All you have to do is to log in to your Twinoid account, tell it your Die2Nite details, and voilà, you'll be carried on the wings of the crow (one at a time please) to world of Die2Nite.
The Twinoid integration will be going ahead on monday the 20th of february - 4 days from now!
- If you don't have a Twinoid account yet,
you have 2 options. 1: Go to www.twinoid.com/en and create an account today, or you can wait until the integration is complete and then create your Twinoid account and link it to your D2N account in the resulting melee!
- If you already have a Twinoid account,
all you need to do is to link it to your Die2Nite.com account. You DO NOT need to create another one! Linking is a really simple process, extremely simple in fact. It is also really quick to do - follow the instructions and you can't go wrong.
- If you have already linked an old muxxu account to your Twinoid account,
and the Muxxu account was already linked to Die2Nite, the linking will be automatic - and reversable, so all you have to do is to log in normally.

Make sure you are ready for the arrival of Twinoid by memorising or noting down all your login information: Your Die2Nite username, password and email address - make sure that this address is still valid!

THE CLASH OF THE TITANS!
Stiffs, former corpses and soon-to-be cadavers!
The Clash of the Titans is the most hotly anticipated event ever on Die2Nite, so be sure to get over to the Oval Office where you'll be able to sign up for your chosen profession. When you get there, click on the Clash logo in the top-right corner to access the registration forms. Hurry if you want to get in your first choice of town!
This event, exclusive to Die2Nite, will offer exclusive community distinctions not only for the champions, but also for those participating! I don't even think I need to mention the awesome bragging rights that go along with winning an event of this size!
Furthermore, there will be random prizes for achievements during the event, so this is really not to be missed!
What are you waiting for citizen? Get in the game!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR 100 HERO DAYS
Cosplay? Artwork? Graduate Thesis? Interpretive Dance?
With a new season comes new challenges and goals to aim for, stress and adjustments. With this in mind what better way to relax than with a season long competition.
- So why not enter the What Would You Do For 100 Hero Days competition.
All you have to do is drop by the die2nite Facebook page and along with your die2nite name link us to a picture or video of you doing something creative and Die2Nite related. Is it worth 100 Free Hero days?
After season 4 is complete a winner will be announced and 100 hero days will be added to the winners account by Epoq!! But wait! The Crow will also reward the best entries with community award distinctions!
- Die2nite players are limited to just one entry so make sure it is your very best.

LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT....

Well we reckon that it was about a year ago that Die2Nite first shuffled out of the shadows and grabbed the limelight, headlines and that persian rug you were so fond of... so we'd like to thank each and every one of you for joining us for the rollercoaster ride that has been the last 365.24 solar sojourns and hope that you'll be living (and dying) alongside us for many more!
As our way of saying thankyou, we decided to give you another way to die EVEN MORE QUICKLY! Now now, I know, I know, we're spoiling you...
Take a look in the list of new towns, and if you have the bottle, the skills and the backup, maybe you should try a Hardcore town! WARNING: Hardcore towns are NOT SUITABLE for amateurs. The risks are much higher, but so are the rewards...

WELCOME TO SEASON 4!
Welcome, citizen!
Season 3 is gone. Now nothing more than a distant memory for most...
It's time to get serious. Here's a quick rundown of what's new:
- Abandoned Buildings: From now on you will be able to explore 3 types of buildings which you'll find scattered throughout the World Beyond
- Jump Limits: The MetaCap (jump limit) has been removed. Enjoy! ;)
- 2 New Professions! The Technician and the Survivalist, each with their own unique skills and advantages...
- Escort Mode: This feature allows citizens to get involved with more distant and dangerous expeditions without necessarily having to be present for the whole event.

The 15th of November is the day of reckoning, and as you all know, there is no room for debate. If you're still in a town when Season 4 kicks in on the 15th you won't be counted in the town rankings. I'd love to tell you what's coming, but then again the crow would surely take my tongue for spoiling the lovely (?!?) surprises we have in store for you all...

Today, we present v2.0, full of vitamins and minerals for a glossy coat [erm.. what? :Epoq] Sorry, full of modifications, new skills, content and buildings to give you a myriad of new ways to Die2Nite.
In v2.0. you're going to have to work like never before!
Forget anything you thought you knew about Die2Nite, and explore the World Beyond to find countless novelties, buildings, and the occasional zombie. Grab your cape, shield, shovel, or labradoodle and set out on a totally new adventure!

SEASON 3 IS COMING. THERE IS NO ESCAPE!
Well well well citizens... it seems you're coping quite well with the latest changes in the world of Die2Nite...
We think you're getting a little bit too comfortable these days... Many of you have even chosen to stop carrying your haul back from the desert now you have a trusty labradoodle to do it for you... living quite the life of riley, aren't you!
Season 3 starts on the 20th of July. There will be an extended maintenance scheduled nearer the time. Get ready! This announcement was to ensure you all have plenty notice if you're gunning for the top spot!
More news on what we'll be adding will come shortly... although I wouldn't dedicate much time to guessing what's coming - I'd just concentrate on surviving tonight's attack if I were you!

He is making a daily video diary of his town, Odd Park. These videos are a great way to get some tips for your town from someone who knows the game well! They've started well - let's see how long they can last...
For all we know, they could forget to close the town gates and Die2Nite...

HANG 'EM HIGH!
- New Ranking System : The new ranking system gives citizens even more reason to survive together for as long as possible. All rankings are deleted at the end of each season, which last 3 months.All the more reason to kick some of your lazy neighbours' asses out of bed and into line! The prizes are worth the effort! Anyone involved in account sitting will result in the town being excluded from the rankings. For more details on account sitting, please click HERE.
- The gallows : Anger and resentment has been building recently in the World beyond, through the insidious activities of griefers and saboteurs. They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and this twisted reality led to the invention of the gallows. The justice-hungry citizen's friend! Now every town can build a gallows to get rid of unwanted scoundrels, robbers and cads. A revolutionary wind is whistling through the town gates... Three things to know about the gallows :
- To avoid excessive use, the gallows will be destroyed after every hanging. You must find more resources to build more.
- If the Rusty Chain, is in a citizen's possession when he is shunned by the community, the chain will be returned to the bank .
- Make sure to hang the correct scoundrel! Warning: The first citizen to receive 8 complaints after the gallows are built will be hanged.
- Creative Writing Contest : From the 17th of January until the 31st, it's time to pick up that quill! Tell us about how things changed with the apocalypse, life under constant threat... The best roleplay / die2nite inspired texts will be included in the game, for future players to find...
- Sponsorship : As the saying goes: "A friend in need is a friend indeed." This is also true in "Die2Nite" ! Sponsorship means that for every player you bring to Die2Nite:
- You will get a bonus of 20% of their subscription !
- You will get a point towards impressive distinctions.

WARNING! DANGER AHEAD!
As the song goes, "Times, they are a-changing" - and how true those words are...
We've been getting reports of "Griefers" and "Saboteurs" of late, so it's about time we gave the upstanding citizens of whereversville a more decisive form of justice, but more about that shortly...
There will also be a little more incentive to last even longer than ever... with Die2Nite seasons kicking off soon too, which will mean rewards for the most zombie-proof towns... bring your A-game!

2010 has seen the world change in many ways: A new president, a royal engagement, wrought iron demand at an all time high, and a suspiciously high number of wonky shopping trolleys being found in the desert ???

My dearest friends destined for an excruciating death,
It's a bit harsh, but when you live in a post-apocalyptic world, you've got to be content with what you've got. What I'm trying to say is that Yule logs, egg nog, Christmas stockings and sexy satin Mrs Claus costumes are pretty scarce commodities, so you'd best just forget about them! So just for a change, this year, you're going to eat sand! And if you really need decorations, try making garlands from your neighbour's intestines as a cost-effective alternative to tinsel...
On the plus side, anyone deciding to become a Hero between midnight on Christmas Eve and midnight on the 31st of December (GAME SERVER TIME) will get 10 days extra FREE!* So make it a holiday to remember - show the world you're a Hero...
*BONUS DAYS WILL BE ADDED IN THE NEW YEAR.. So don't panic! You have more pressing matters to panic about, like the next zombie attack!
